What is the enumerated power within the US Constitution under which FEMA is sanctioned?

The Constitution of the United States represents the best solution to one of mankind’s greatest political problems. How does a small group of states combine into a strong union without the states losing their individual powers and surrendering their control over local affairs? 

The delegates who convened in Philadelphia in 1787 answered this question with a document that called for a federal plan of government, a system of separation of powers with checks and balances, and a procedure for orderly change to meet the needs of future generations.

The Constitution confirms the proposition that original power resides in the people. All powers not reserved by the people in state constitutional limitations remained in the state governments, NOT the federal government.

The United States Constitution does not contemplate emergencies.

The Constitution does however provide authority for government to anticipate and then respond to emergencies.

Article IV, Section 4 of the Constitution obligates the federal government to guarantee a “Republican Form of Government” to each state, to protect the states against invasion, and to protect them against “domestic violence,” but only after a request from the governor or legislature.

The national government may govern only through the powers enumerated in the Constitution. The states have the “police powers” to protect the health, safety, and welfare of their citizens and these are reserved for them by the Constitution. The breadth of the police powers provides states with the dominant authorities to respond to emergencies, so long as they do not violate the constitutional rights of their citizens.

After looking far and wide I have found lots of studies and reports about this or that law but the constitution seems to be avoided when the subject of FEMA come ups, hhhhmmmmmm.

...and I still cannot find any authorization for it anywhere in it.

Canada best G20 country to be a woman: poll

LONDON, June 13 (TrustLaw) - Policies that promote gender equality, safeguards against violence and exploitation and access to healthcare make Canada the best place to be a woman among the world's biggest economies, a global poll of experts showed on Wednesday.

This is according to a poll conducted by TrustLaw, a legal news service run by Thomson Reuters Foundation. So according to Reuters, DUH.

At the other end of the scale, Saudi Arabia - where women are well educated but are banned from driving and only won the right to vote in 2011 - polled second-worst after India, followed by Indonesia, South Africa and Mexico.

SO India and Saudi Arabia treat their women like shit, who knew?

The poll, released ahead of a summit of G20 heads of state to be held in Mexico June 18-19, showed the reality for many women in many countries remains grim despite the introduction of laws and treaties on women's rights, experts said.

"In India, women and girls continue to be sold as chattels, married off as young as 10, burned alive as a result of dowry-related disputes and young girls exploited and abused as domestic slave labor," said Gulshun Rehman.

So why do we send our money to these countries? India for aid and Saudi Arabia for oil. Just a gentle reminder to the liberano's, we have lots and lots of oil and when buy it as EZRA says at least it more ethical than the woman beaters who hold the M.E.

I read an article in the ottawacitizen.com about the fall sitting and how the government had better not use the omnibus option. HAHAHA

It mentioned the equalization program so i look it up and Canada's Population by province.

Hawaiian Refrigerator Cake

Crust

2 cups graham crackers

½ cup brown sugar

1 ½ tsp cinnamon

½ cup melted butter

Filling

2 cans of sweetened condensed milk

¼ cup lemon juice

100 mini marshmallows

1 can crush pineapple (drained)

20 maraschino cherries (quartered)

½ cup whipped cream

Directions:

Crust

Combine all ingredients and press into 9 x 13 pan.

Bake in 375 oven for 8 to 10 minutes.

Filling

Combine milk and lemon juice stir until thickened.

Mix in marshmallows, pineapple and cherries.

Fold in whipped cream

Spread over graham crumb layer.

Refrigerate for 1 ½ hour or more.

The South Shore regional school board and the Forest Heights Community School in Chester Basin, Nova Scotia should be having a staffing realignment. Starting with the teacher and ending with the superintendent. Nancy Pynch-Worthylake, the superintendent for the South Shore Regional School Board, needs to be suspended (or better yet FIRED) for defying the principals inherent to our christen country. These people suspended a student for wearing a t-shirt. Have they no decency, no morals? It took a public out cry for them to back down and decided he could wear it to school. What a bunch of weasels.

The preamble to the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms states "Where as Canada is founded upon principles that recognize the supremacy of God and the rule of the law". I think the administration of this school should remember that we live in Canada and we have Freedom of religion - NOT - Freedom from religion.

If this was my child's school I would already be down there raising HELL!!! To all the parents that have there babies in this so called school why are you sending your children back to these scum?

Way back when I was trucking for a dangerous waste disposal company one of my stops every month was a large leftie newspaper to pick up their used inks and chemicals. In a city of a million people, an over a hundred year old with declining subscriptions newspaper (the deadtree really is dead), I would end up with an half-full 53 foot trailer EVERY MONTH!

The numbers are staggering, all that dangerous waste being produced. I haven't done the math, mostly because I have no idea how many of those size presses are up and running in North America. That is just ONE newspaper in Canuckistan!  Most cities have at least 2 or more presses like that, in the lower mainland I know of the Vancouver Sun and Province newspaper are one GIANT press out in Surrey, evergreen press on Marine Drive, East Van Graphics on Commercial, Rhino print out in Richmond, Still Creek Press in Burnaby, I think the next word should be ETC.  In the US alone there are 34 Cities in the same general population group, Some way larger like New York with 8 million and LA right behind them.

34 cities, at least 2 presses in each each producing 1 40,000lb trailer of dangerous waste. WOW! When you think about this part of the newspaper business how can any good leftie even touch a newspaper with out begging GAEA for forgiveness?
