Give the next homeless friend a chance , they normally end up being the best friends you never knew you needed. They usually will find you when you think that you least need it. At one time we have 14 animals to care for ,that is too many. My favorite dog was a Akita female showed up on the front porch one morning and refused to leave. I didn't want a dog but that didn't matter to her. She loved to pull me around on a skate board as much as I loved being pulled. She was a wonderful guard dog. A few years back I found a black French Bulldog running down the hiway at night. Barely missed him. I pulled over , opened the door . Yelled come on it time to go and he ran up and jumped in the truck. The favorite cat was a huge old male that hang around for a year before i could touch him. One day he took a chance on a really good scratching. He was hooked and then shortly after that he became the most loving pet I have ever known. I had him for 7 years , losing him was terrible. Recently we got a 3 week old abandoned kitten that is almost 4 months old now. He has apparently named me Chew toy. I named him Junior because he will be a great cat like the last one.
