Unalienable rights were not originated within the constitution. It only recognizes those truths as self evident. Now seems that we have a entire class of elected representatives and civil servants that believe that they are the final arbiters of everything beyond their control. If they do not hold these truths to be self evident then do they retain the constitutional abilities of taxation and or control of those they are refusing to represent?
