Masks are very good at catching bacteria. The don't catch virii (weave openings are too big) Masks are also the perfect warm humid environment to grow bacteria. Having a growing, multiplying bacteria factory 0" to 1/2" from your mouth pretty much guarantees that those bacteria will be ingested. Is it likely that the pneumonia bacteria came from the mask? Your call.
