Several years ago I went on a tour up to Omaha, Nebraska. One morning, during breakfast, we listened to a woman who had been a child in the Ukraine. She lived during the Holodomor famine as well as occupation from both the Soviets and the Nazis. Even though she had been taken by the Nazis to be a servant, she preferred the Nazis over the Communists. that was kind of surprising but I guess it shouldn't have been. The Nazis treated her like crap, but it was better than the Communists.
