ReplyDeleteExactly...just like the Plague, polio, the freakin' Spanish Flu...This is the lowest death count I've ever seen. The most recent numbers show that deaths from COVID worldwide is around 977K--in a population of 7.8B...There were 50M deaths due to Spanish Flu with a world population of 1.9B in 1920. The estimates for The Black Death (Bubonic Plague) was 30% of Europe's population...probably the same for Asia (from where the Plague originated)...don't know what the world population was in the mid-1300s but I'd bet it was considerably less than it is today.
